Modern Courtyard

This project transformed an oddly shaped courtyard with poor soil, standing water issues, and varied sunlight into a functional and inviting focal point. Drawing inspiration from the home’s mid-century modern architecture, the design features a clean, geometric permeable hardscape that improves drainage and accessibility, framed by Texas native plants suited to the site’s mixed light conditions. What was once an underutilized eyesore is now a vibrant space that supports pollinators and brings butterflies and hummingbirds to the heart of the home.
